§ 2-5. Register of deeds

(a) Destruction of obsolete documents. The register of deeds is authorized to destroy all obsolete documents pertaining to chattels antedating six years, including final books of entry.
(b) Cut-off reception time for filing and recording documents. Pursuant to Wis. Stats. § 59.51, the cut-off reception time for the filing and recording of all documents in the register of deeds' office shall be 3:30 p.m. Any documents received after 3:30 p.m. shall be filed, recorded and entered on the next business day.
