§ 38-6. Smoking on county property

(a) This section is to protect the health and comfort of the public through the regulation of smoking, according to the authority granted this county by Wis. Stats. § 101.123(2)(c).

(b) Smoking is prohibited in:

(1) All areas of the courthouse;

(2) The Ag Center, including vestibules;

(3) The public health agency;

(4) The jail, except cells;

(5) Forest and recreation and social services leased office space.

This will include former areas previously designated by Resolution No. 12-85 or by the property committee.

(c) Department heads in all other county owned (such as highway department), rented or leased buildings or spaces shall develop and enforce a "no smoking" policy consistent with Wis. Stats. § 101.123.
