§ 2-92. Election of chair and vice-chair

The chair and vice-chair will be elected biannually in accordance with section 2-61 (Rule 1). Those supervisors desiring to serve in either of those capacities shall so advise the county board at the time of the election and may speak for not more than five minutes. They will be chosen in order (the chair first) by written ballot of the entire county board. If more than two candidates appear on the ballot, the two top vote-getters shall have a runoff election. Balloting will continue until a candidate receives a majority vote.
